Criminal Defense
Mr. Fontes is well versed in criminal defense and prosecution. He shares a broad range of experience with the criminal justice system in Arizona and Colorado. He is a former prosecutor with significant criminal litigation experience. Mr. Fontes has conducted felony trials before both 8 and 12-member juries. He is able to handle felony cases from attempted murder and drug possession to identity theft and DUI.
Mr. Fontes has had extensive experience with misdemeanor and felony plea agreements conducting preliminary/probable cause hearings, handled numerous probation violation matters, and successfully argued evidentiary hearings and settlement conferences.
