Mr. Fontes is available to assist you in city, state and federal courts in Arizona. He is licensed to practice law in the Superior Courts of Arizona as well as in the U.S. District Courts which call Arizona home. While based in Maricopa County, and with a bulk of our work in the Maricopa County Superior Court and U.S. District Court, the firm also handles cases in the Superior Courts of Santa Cruz, Pinal, and Pima Counties. Representation is also available to clients in Colorado.
Criminal Defense
Mr. Fontes is well versed in criminal prosecution. He shares a broad range of experience with the criminal justice system in Arizona and Colorado. He is a former prosecutor with significant criminal litigation experience. Mr. Fontes has conducted felony trials before both 8 and 12-member juries. He is able to handle felony cases from attempted murder and drug possession to identity theft and DUI.
Mr. Fontes has had extensive experience with misdemeanor and felony plea agreements conducting preliminary/probable cause hearings, handled numerous probation violation matters, and successfully argued evidentiary hearings and settlement conferences.
